the internet is bringing back the days of noahWe’ve already written about the dangers of information without knowledge and wisdom. We’ve also specifically discussed Facebook and my family’s exodus from that cesspool of unbridled instinct, impulse, and evil. Now a dire warning to everyone that uses YouTube. Contrary to popular belief there is hardcore pornography on YouTube.

I do not suggest you look for it, and I will not link to it here, but if you thought that Google was looking out for you, you are wrong. The example that I found has been allowed to persist for more than a year, with multiple comments stating that multiple people have reported it as the pornography that it is.

If you are reading this and have not enabled YouTube’s restricted mode, I suggest you follow these instructions immediately, and do choose the option to lock down the entire browser, not just when logged in: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/174084?hl=en.

That all being said, I’ve found restricted mode is still insufficient. In fact, in many cases, it blocks the comments while still allowing the video to play. In other cases it blocks videos that aren’t explicit. However, if you don’t intend to block YouTube altogether, then having restricted mode turned on is better than not.

Time is getting short with the internet. Just like quitting Facebook cold turkey has been a decision my family has not regretted, quitting YouTube entirely may be on the horizon for us as well. Educational videos can be found elsewhere without risking exposing my children to the world’s perverted version of “educational”.

How did it come to this? Jesus gives us a hint in Matthew 24, starting at verse 36:

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

We make a point to expect Him constantly. Especially considering the speed at which society is descending the downward spiral. Yet, we’re often confronted and even rebuked with claims that people have been this way for centuries. I contend that society has NEVER been like it is today, and I also contend that the internet is the instigator.

As Jesus mentioned above, the end will be like the days of Noah. We know a lot more about the days of Noah than Jesus mentions above. In Genesis 6:5 the Bible says: “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.”

For those thousands of years after the flood and especially after Jesus’ Church was founded, people sought to survive together through adversity and developed strong cultural  bonds. A remnant of good existed in the hearts of believers. While many did look at the evil of their days and expect the return of the King, they truly did live in times not much different than their fathers’ days. Terrible things happened throughout history, but throughout history the Spirit of Christ has also persisted.

Then, in the exact year that Daniel’s prophecy predicted the end-times would begin, in 1844, the information age began with a strikingly prophetic phrase: “What Hath God Wrought”:

Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

The favor of God has forever been a gift, and nothing that we’ve earned. The time of His favor began with: “What hath God wrought“, and the time of the end began with the same statement. The information age is entirely unprecedented, and the likes of YouTube and Facebook, Google, and Microsoft are all now in the business of appealing to and exploiting the propensity for people to revert to their own base instincts and sinful nature when nobody is looking. For thousands of years, these base behaviors were reserved for the shadows. The combination of natural challenges and societal necessity kept people in fellowship to some degree. Even most of the terrible persecutions that came, came at the wolf-pack-mentality of one group over another group. Only since 1844 has the possibility existed that individuals could individually contribute their own private sins in ways that multiply them exponentially.

It began soon after the telegraph, the greedy gold rush, slaughter of buffalo, then Native Americans, then “progress”, trains, planes, automobiles… Phones and movies took sinful human nature to places where it couldn’t spread so quickly ever before. Compared to today’s standards old movies seemed wholesome, even prudish, but is it any surprise that even before sound was added to movies the supposed “wholesome” actors were getting involved in so many scandals? The scandals weren’t what were new, it was the ability to dwell on them, and be fascinated with them, via mass-media. That was the new thing.

That new thing today has made everyone an actor in this. As recently as this week our “fearless leader” has ordered all public schools to stop enforcing gender segregation of restrooms. He apparently thinks that disallowing a boy – facing the confusing hormones of puberty – to share toilets with girls – going through their changes – represents a civil rights violation and is something akin to slavery.

This is madness, but the days of Noah were madness. Noah’s days had to rely on word-of-mouth, but today’s madness is being propagated by a shock-hungry media literally at the speed of light.

In the Bible, the changing of ones name represented a significant moment in ones life purpose. The likes of Jane Roe, (whose name was changed to propagate a murderous agenda), Barack Hussein Obama (whose name is changed to invent a character that does not exist), Caitlyn Jenner (whose name & gender were changed as though wearing dresses is the meaning of life), and so many more people in between are nothing but puppets in the end-game of a war against human civilization. People today believe that the promotion of “anything goes” religion, sexuality, and murder is progress because, in reality, we are again in the times of Noah. We have devolved.

How did this happen? Isn’t it obvious? Those kids that hated their parents, called them “out of touch”, and always thought they “knew-it-all”… those kids never learned otherwise. They were born into a world of privilege that wouldn’t allow them to fail, as they most certainly would have a century ago. They were born to parents that awarded them for less than mediocrity. They were spoiled rotten and will remain so for their entire lives, and everything they do bears bad fruit. Bad fruit that is multiplied 100x via their “smart” phones.

“Smart” phone, what an oxymoron. Silicon is inanimate, and literally incapable of intelligence. While it can present information, information alone is not “smart” either. Those kids that think their parents are so out of touch, actually think that just because they have access to information it makes them smart. Wisdom screams otherwise.

Ecclesiastes 7:11-12: Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing and benefits those who see the sun. Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it.

Knowledge is useless without Wisdom, and when combined with Wisdom it is a powerful source of health and happiness. We live in a generation that rejects the above entirely. In other places the Bible says that: “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom“.  So there is no way to recover from this great act of arrogance on the part of this generation. These periods only end terribly. Usually in the face of wars or terrible natural disasters. When those come, even before, the pagans will blame people. In the old days they blamed people (other than themselves) for angering “the gods”. Today, they blame “global warming” or some political party or ethnicity. They must blame, because they have no understanding of the information they perceive. They never will, because understanding only comes to a pure heart.

Fellow believer, the end is near, and it’s inevitable. Don’t fear anything but God, which is the foundation of your faith. He told us this would happen, and now it is, and when the world is crying in fear, and you want to say: “we told you so.” Don’t. Don’t because your focus is better spent on living your faith. When the pain comes, it will come to us all, “but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The gospel has been preached everywhere. That time that Jesus spoke of is now, and never has been now for thousands of years. We’re not the first generation to think Jesus is coming soon, but we are the first to have seen all of these things come to pass. The time is now.
